Our STM Ambassadors are made up of two representatives from each class from Year 1 to Year 6. The children had to put themselves forward for elections and deliver a speech to their classmates. Each member of the class then got to take part in secret ballots, to select our representatives.

Miss McCormack and Miss Clarke meet with the STM Ambassadors regularly to hear the pupil voice and for them to share ideas and plan for events.

As part of their role, the STM Ambassadors are lead our charity work last year, supporting three charities which meant a lot to them:

In the Autumn term, the STM Ambassadors chose to support local care homes, collecting gifts and cards to send to the elderly residents. The children organised an Elf Workshop, where each class wrapped up presents and wrote cards to deliver.

We walked to Elm Bank to deliver sacks full of Christmas gifts and spread the joy of Christmas.

In the Spring Term, the STM Ambassadors chose to support CAFOD by walking 200km as part of the Big Lent Walk.

CAFOd is one of the largest aid networks, supporting some of the most difficult-to-reach people in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. We raised a fantastic £300 .

Finally, in the Summer Term, St. Thomas More was lucky enough to host Watoto Children's Choir. In July, we held our own Watoto celebration day, where everyone was invited to take part in a sponsored dance and sing. We raised enough money to support Bushilliah for another year, enabling her to attend school in Uganda.

The STM Ambassadors will be launching this terms charity project very shortly and we are all looking forward to supporting charities that mean a lot to us all!
